Muladhara

In the Hindu translation of the chakra system, the root chakra is the first chakra. It has the colour red. This chakra is associated with the dense, solid parts of the body like teeth, bones, nails, legs, arms, intestines, anus, and prostate. It is in the location of the bottom of the spine. Working on different yoga practices we are able to help balance this chakra.

When there is imbalance in this chakra you may notice feelings of : distrust of nature, greed for material possessions, a need to satisfy ones own desires and wishes above all else.

By practicing meditation, breath work, asana, yoga nidra, restorative yoga; focussing on this chakra you will feel more : trusting of Nature’s laws, connected to nature, with a deeper understanding of the even ebb and flow of nature.
